Fruit Machine

Time for a music review! It's the return of Brit-Pop! A great duo-band arrived in the music industry. Perhaps you have heard their songs on the air before, but have no idea what the band name is. Well, they are The Ting Tings (which means small pen*s in Japan, yeah, no kidding!)
I've listened to the whole album, and I thought their tunes are very catchy! Great DJ was awesome, and so are That's Not My Name, and Shut Up & Let Me Go. I would recommend you to check out their songs, one is linked through the YouTube link below.
*EDIT: Apparently I can't embed the YouTube video here, so you will have to click on the video link at the title below. Click it, you'll love it (=

That's Not My Name
By: The Ting Tings

Four letter word just to get me along
It's a difficulty and I'm biting on my tongue and I
I keep stalling, keeping me together
People around gotta find something to say now

Holding back, everyday the same
Don't wanna be a loner
Listen to me, oh no
I never say anything at all
But with nothing to consider they forget my name
(ame, ame, ame)

They call me 'Hell' , They call me 'Stacey'
They call me 'her', They call me 'Jane'
That's not my name, That's not my name
That's not my name, That's not my name

They call me 'Quiet Girl', But I'm a riot
Mary, jo, lisa, Always the same
That's not my name, That's not my name
That's not my name, That's not my name

I miss the catch if they throw me the ball
I'm the last chick standing up against the wall
Keep up, falling, these heels they keep me boring
Getting clamped up and sitting on the fence now

So alone all the time and I
Lock myself away
Listen to me, Oh No!
Although I'm dressed up, out and all with
Everything considered they forget my name
(ame, ame, ame)

Are you calling me darling?
Are you calling me bird?
Are you calling me darling?
Are you calling me bird?

This song was in my head, now it's in my mind, call it reach it get some words and get some timing.
And though I realize, I cannot emphasize, I'll stick around but just don't promise, nothing binding.
And baby can't you see, that you're so desperately, a standing joker like a vocal one-liner.
Instead of sing-a-long, this song is monotone, I've gotta get some soul I gotta get some feeling.

Black vs White

vs
Blackberry Bold vs Nokia E71.
In term of business and software functions, I think Black has a lot more. It offers me Blackberry Chat with fellow Blackberry users, although both phones allow me to chat via MSN or other messenger tools.
White has the better Media functions, with 3.2MPx camera, while Black only has 2MPx.
Button-mashing wise, I think Black has got the edge, as its bigger dimension (thus, bigger size) allows bigger buttons for my big thumb to push around.
Black's roller ball also allows faster browsing compared to that of White's "numpad" button..
Black costs almost twice of White. But come November, which I am planning to buy, who knows how low both phones can go to..
Heck with the way I wrote this, it is as if I already know which one to choose huh? But I'm cramped! Well, I think i have roughly two months to think it through carefully.. Any suggestions people???

It's all B'seder!

Wow, massive jolt in the market lately, with Lehman Brothers now out of the picture, and Merill Lynch bought by Bank of America, not to mention people are waiting what will be AIG's next move.. Bearish market in the US has found its way to Asia, with our own local index (IHSG) broke the 1500 intra-day today! To think that it was 2700 around a couple months ago! I do think it's just a temporary thing, as it's just global upset currently, and I'm sure market will return back to normal. It will all be b'seder!
Just watched Zohan, very entertaining movie, though a bit silly at times. However, all ends well with Emmanuelle Chriqui on the set! It's the same person that played Sloan in Entourage. What a beauty! I hope she appears more in Entourage's next season, which makes me wonder, has it started yet?
Anyway, as we are tackling Middle-Eastern themed movie, I thought I posted a YouTube link. My first time trying it out, and it's just an old funny flick, but I do find it hilarious!

Ballistic Syndrome

I love movies.
A cheap source of entertainment, let's you relax for a while..
Thus, you will see a lot of movie reviews here, just like on my old blog.
And I shall explain to you now a new term that I just invented: The Ballistic Syndrome.
Ever seen a movie trailer or poster that looks mightily interesting, star-studded and all, only to fail to deep disappointment? I don't mean those stupid movies that you just know will suck big time (Meet the Spartans comes to mind). One perfect example would be Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever. It's poster and movie trailer came up very interesting. The castings also looked great: Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu, two of the hottest foreign actors during that time. But only came up to my first biggest disappointment ever. So from there on, I will coin the term "Ballistic Syndrome" to all such movies. And the first I shall honor for a spot in my brand new blog is: Babylon A.D.
Great looking poster.
Awesome title name.
Powerful cast by Vin Diesel (and Michell Yeoh I guess).
Fail miserably.
Plot was jumping everywhere. You have no idea the significance of the quest. Action shown was just bleh, nothing new. Vin was just acting like his normal self, nothing new there as well. And you get annoyed with what the chick really think about the dude ("Don't kill. I hate you! Okay I like u now, let me touch ur buff chest ^^"). Aaandd, you will get the biggest "WTF!?" ending ever. Okay, maybe The Mist still holds that title, right Malvin?
So in all, I dunno if it's the censorship in this country that just makes it mind-boggling with the scene jumps, but from what I read, many people don't rate this movie as well.. Oh well, money down the drain..

Anyhow, tomorrow I'm gonna see Hellboy 2. Looks promising enough, though most already watched the dvd (2 months released in the states, go figure!) Well, it was either that or Bangkok Dangerous, which I also heard great reviews! Probably I'll take a look on Sunday or something..

Ahhh.. and United is traveling to the Merseyside tomorrow. Can't wait to see how Berbatov gonna perform tomorrow!! Gerrard and Torres both are fit tomorrow (not surprisingly.. Rafa's mind-play trick grew old on me), so there shall be no excuses! Though I could end up on paying some three ppls lunches come Monday if I'm wrong >< *touches wood.

Phoenix Down!!

After some time, I thought it's time to rejuvenate my old blog to Blogspot.. This is partly due to my lack of visit to Friendster site (due to the popularity of Facebook as of lately), and I figured it's time to move on from F'ster's lack of features, and explore Blogspot.
Now I used to have an old blogspot site before (and for some reason, I forgot the account for yrreg.blogspot.com). But it's probably better to start fresh, ja? Maybe the title of this post doesn't suit it perfectly. But hey! It's my blog, and I can do whatever I want, yes???
So ladies and gentlemen, relax, enjoy my occasional mumblings, give me feedbacks, and don't forget to bookmark this page!!
